Section 01

Overview

GPA Calculator Pro we operates the website at gpacalculator.info. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site, how we use it, and what choices you have.

By using our website, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.

Section 02

Information We Collect

We collect two types of information:

Information you do not provide directly (automatic data):

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page

Information you enter into the calculator:

Course names, grades, and credit hours you enter into the GPA calculator are processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. This data is never transmitted to our servers and is lost when you close or refresh the page, unless saved to your browser's local storage (see the Cookies section).

Section 03

How We Use Information

We use the automatically collected data to:

  • Understand which pages and features are most useful to students
  • Identify and fix technical errors or performance issues
  • Improve the design and content of the site
  • Measure the overall reach and traffic of the website

We do not use your data to:

  • Build personal profiles or track you across other websites
  • Serve targeted or behavioral advertising
  • Sell or rent your data to any third party
  • Send you unsolicited emails or marketing messages

Section 04

Cookies & Local Storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser local storage for the following purposes:

  • Dark mode preference — we save your light/dark mode choice in local storage so it persists between visits. No personal data is stored.
  • Analytics cookies — we use an analytics service (such as Google Analytics) to count page visits and understand how users interact with the site. These cookies collect anonymous, aggregated data only.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Disabling cookies will not affect the core functionality of the GPA calculator.

Section 05

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect data independently under their own privacy policies:

  • Google Analytics — website traffic and behavior analytics. Google Privacy Policy →
  • Chart.js (CDN) — JavaScript library loaded from a CDN to render the GPA chart. No personal data is collected by this.
  • Cloudflare — we may use Cloudflare for performance and security. Cloudflare may log IP addresses for security purposes. Cloudflare Privacy Policy →

We do not display third-party advertising on this website and do not share your data with advertisers.

Section 06

Data Retention

Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is no personal data to retain or delete on our end.

Analytics data (anonymous, aggregated) is retained for up to 26 months in Google Analytics, after which it is automatically deleted. This data cannot be linked back to any individual user.

Any data stored in your browser's local storage (such as your dark mode preference) remains on your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

Section 07

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under privacy laws such as the GDPR (European Union) or CCPA (California). These may include:

  • The right to know what data we hold about you
  • The right to request deletion of your data
  • The right to opt out of data collection
  • The right to data portability

Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, most of these rights are satisfied by default. If you have a specific request, please contact us using the details in the Contact section below.

To opt out of Google Analytics tracking, you can use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Section 08

Children's Privacy

GPA Calculator Pro is a general-purpose educational tool intended for students of all ages, including those under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since no account creation or personal data submission is required to use the calculator, children can use the tool safely without providing any personal information.

If you believe a child has inadvertently submitted personal information through our site, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

Section 09
